They will be staying at the Olympic Park Institute, sister campus to the Headlands and Yosemite Institutes, sites of our Middle School Outdoor Education programs. From OPI, the girls will go for a canoeing day trip on Monday and then depart for a 3-day camping trip into one of the scenic neighboring wilderness areas. They will spend the last night on campus before returning home on Friday. All of the excursions are led by trained and certified OPI field instructors, with Hamlin faculty as chaperones.

Rachel Davis is a former field instructor with the Headlands Institute and is a certified Wilderness First Aid Responder. She currently teaches 5th and 6th grade science at The Hamlin School.
