In the afternoon, the campers return to camp for a closing campfire to share their day’s adventures with other campgroups and offer stories and highlights.

MORNING ACTIVITIES
Campers participate in two morning activities chosen from the following:

  • Climbing Wall
  • Sports & Games
  • Performing Arts
  • Campcrafts
  • Arts and Crafts
  • Wild Card!!!

CAMPGROUP ADVENTURES (CGAs)
Campers are placed into grade-level Campgroups, which are guided by two to three staff leaders. Each Campgroup consists of 6 - 12 campers.
With guidance from their leaders, campers select their afternoon field trips, or CampGroup Adventures (CGAs). One campgroup may favor swimming at Rossi Pool, another may explore Chinatown with a Scavenger Hunt, while a third may prefer to go boating at Stow Lake. We use the MUNI bus system as our primary form of travel to teach campers the benefits of public transportation.

Campers are placed in Campgroups based on their grade:

Pumas: Girls and boys entering 1st grade
Cougars: Girls and boys entering 2ndgrade
Jaguars: Girls and boys entering 3rd grade
Tigers: Girls and boys entering 4th grade
Panthers: Girls and boys entering 5th grade
Cheetahs: Girls and boys entering 6th grade
Lions: Girls and boys entering 7th grade

PHAT TUESDAYS
Phat Tuesdays are full-day, all-camp outings. Past Phat Tuesdays have included trips to Baker Beach, Lake Anza, McNear's Beach, and Santa Cruz Beach & Boardwalk. Phat Tuesdays are on the first Tuesday of each two-week session.

THEME DAY THURSDAYS
Theme Day is a spirit-filled day of energy and fun. Campers of all ages collaborate with each other in a variety of games, crafts, puzzles and challenges all based around a certain theme. Previous Theme Days have included Wild West Day (traveling back in time to the Old West), Clue Day and Olympics Day. Theme Days are on the first Thursday of each two-week session.
